We were delighted to include three lads from Scone Thistle 2007's in our match day squad for our final East Region Midlands League match of the season.
Charlie McKay, Ben Elliot, and Finlay Peters were listed as substitutes against Dundee Violet on Monday night.
Attacker Finlay Peters made his senior debut for the Jaggies in the final 10 minutes of the match. He impressed in the closing stages with some intelligent runs and link up play.
A big thanks to the 2007's coaches - Jim Elliot, Will Simpson, Kev McKay, and Ross Ogilvie for allowing the boys to take part.
The player pathway from the Community Club youth teams right up to the senior team is a really important part of what Scone Thistle is all about.
The youth players know that once they go through the youth set up then the pathway opens up a great opportunity for them to progress to the senior team.
We currently have 12 players within the senior team squad that have progressed through the Scone Thistle Community Club pathway, and we hope to see more in the future.
