Scone Thistle are delighted to announce that our current management team of Charlie King, Drew Fleming, and Andy McKinnie have all signed deals to stay with the club for a further three years until 2027.
Chairman Derek Adam was delighted with the news and said: “Having worked with Charlie, Drew and Andy over the last year I think it's fair to say the committee and management have developed a very positive relationship. In fact, that really started to happen from very early on.
“As the Committee began looking to the longer term future, it was natural to want to have the current management team in place to continue their good work.
“What was really satisfying from the Club perspective was how easy a conversation that was, and that they all felt comfortable committing their future to Scone without any hesitation.
“We now look forward to continuing to work together to improve further both on and off the park.”
After penning his new deal, Charlie King said: “On behalf of Drew, Andy, and myself I’d just like to say how delighted we all are to have been asked to remain in charge of Scone Thistle FC for the next three years.
“It was a very straight forward discussion to have with the committee which allows us to press on with planning ahead and looking forward to building again for next season.
“Ultimately the players are the reason for making our decision as simple as it was. The improvement in a fairly short period of time from them and the atmosphere that's been created is first class and we look forward to working together as a group to keep moving Scone Thistle FC forward in a positive direction.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the sponsors for backing the club this season. Your support is vital to the club to help us progress and move forward.
“We’d also like to thank the committee for the incredible hard work that goes on behind the scenes and the players for their professional work ethic that allows the coaches to enjoy the job that we do.”
Charlie added: “We still have an outstanding league fixture to play tomorrow night at Farquharson Park and it would be great to see as many of you there to support the lads as we sign off for the season.”
